When you book your vacation, an agreement is made between you and Different Portugal and others who provide services. Please read the information on this page carefully, as it sets out the terms and conditions governing the provision of the tours.

NOTICE TO TRAVELERS

You should be aware that Portugal has particular features which may or may not appeal to you, including weather, food, local customs, etc. There are different living standards and conditions with respect to the provision of utilities, services and accommodation. By buying a particular service, we assume that you have made all reasonable inquiries about the service.

TOUR PRICES

Tour prices are quoted in EUR: Euros and are subject to change without notice except if the services are already confirmed.

VISAS AND DOCUMENTATION 

Tour participants will ensure that they comply with all the visa and health requirements to visit Portugal. It is the passengers’ responsibility to obtain and all carry the appropriate travel documents. Different Portugal shall not be held responsible should the passengers’ fail to provide the proper documentation.

TOUR INFORMATION 

The outline of the itinerary must be taken as an indication of what should be accomplished in each tour and not as a contractual obligation by Different Portugal. Changes to the itinerary may be caused by local political conditions, delays, mechanical breakdown, weather, sickness or other unforeseeable circumstances. No refund will be given for services not fulfilled. It is a fundamental condition of joining the tour described in the itinerary that you accept this flexibility and acknowledge that delays and alterations with resulting consequences, comfort or disappointments are possible.

RESERVATIONS, DEPOSITS AND FINAL BALANCE 

The following conditions apply to book all tours:

-    At the time of booking a 25% Deposit is required. Tours are only confirmed when the deposit amount is received.
-    The Final Balance is due 90 days before departure .
-    For bookings within 90 days of the tour date the full amount is due at time of booking.
-    Transaction fees regarding payments shall be covered by the guest.

In the case of Tailor-Made Tours a non-refundable fee of 100 euros is required for the trip planning to start. In case the tour is booked this fee will be deducted to the deposit payment to book the tour. Transaction fees regarding this fee payment shall be covered by the guest.

TOUR INSURANCE PROTECTION 

To protect yourself against cancellation charges, we highly recommend that you purchase an insurance for your added protection and convenience.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS 

The following conditions apply to all booktours:

-    All cancellations must made in writing, hand-signed by the person who made the payment and sent by email to: info@differentportugal.com
-    The date of cancellation will be based from the day Different Portugal receives in writing from the guest.
-    The following % of total cost penalty will be applied from the date of the cancellation notice is received:
-    +90 days before departure date: 25% of total cost is non-refundable.
-    90 to 31 days before departure date: 50% of total cost is non-refundable.
-    30 days or less before departure: 100% of total cost is non-refundable.
-    Refunds will be made in the same way as payment was made. Transaction fees shall be covered by the guest.
-    Refunds will be done in euro.

UNUSED SERVICES 

In case of your cancelling any portion of the tour while en route, there are no refunds of booked services.

CHANGES OF DATES OF THE BOOKING 

Changes in the dates of the booking will be allowed until the end of the respective civil year and if there is availability for the services. It has a non-refundable fee of 20% of the total cost of itinerary. Changes will only be confirmed when the fee is received. Transaction fees regarding this fee payment shall be covered by the guest.

CHANGE OF ITINERARY 

No changes can be made in the itinerary as set out in the itinerary once travel has commenced unless confirmed by Different Portugal in accordance with the provisions listed here.

CHANGE OF SERVICES 

Different Portugal reserves the right to change the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances. In all cases, Different Portugal will do its best to maintain the content of the tour. If the tour services as indicated by the itinerary cannot be supplied or there are changes in the itinerary for reasons beyond the control of Different Portugal, we will arrange for provision of comparable services.

RESPONSIBILITY 

Different Portugal, provide means of fully insured and licensed transportation, and act as agents contracting the services included in the itinerary. Furthermore, Different Portugal shall assume no responsibility in any way for any injury, loss, accident, or delay that may be caused by either reason or default of any company, agent or person engaged in carrying the arrangements for the tour. Further no responsibility can be accepted for any additional expenses incurred by the guests resulting from improper documents carried by the passenger, or by any act of government or any authority, strikes, civil disturbances, political unrest, acts of God and any act or omission or event while the passengers are not aboard their conveyances.

LAW AND JURISDICTION

The above agreement between Different Portugal and the guest shall be governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of EU. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the EU Courts.
